Obsessive and duty-bound, LAPD Lieutenant Peter Decker reluctantly agrees to do a big favour for old friend, Teresa McLaughlin, knowing full-well that it will bring her sociopathic husband, Chris Donatti, back into his life. When Terry goes missing,and Donatti’s disappearance follows, their 14-year-old son Gabe has no one to turn to except Peter and his wife, Rina Lazarus. Then a neo-natal nurse at St. Timothy´s hospital, Adrianna Blanc, is found swinging from the rafters of a house in a wealthy suburban area. A popular party-girl, to the disgust of her close friends and family she indulged in recreational drugs and casual sex. Her boyfriend, Garth Hammerling, a nurse at the same hospital, is no angel either, and the discovery that Adrianna’s final phone-call announced their split only adds to the police’s suspicions. With lives hanging in the balance, both at home and at work, Decker and his team need to find answers and fast. Since Donatti is still at loose, no one can ever be really safe.
